On November 6th, 2014, the Graduation Ceremony and Reception for the 29th cycle of the EU Executive Training Programme in Japan (ETP29) was held at the Palace Hotel Tokyo. The event was attended by over 250 guests.
From January 2014, the 26 ETP29 participants spent nearly seven months at Waseda University studying Japanese language and learning about business in Japan. After the on-campus programme, each participant completed a 12-week internship, utilizing the language skills and business knowledge they acquired through the ETP. A total of 30 Japanese companies accepted interns from ETP29.
During the ceremony, H.E. Mr. Viorel Isticioaia Budura, Ambassador of the European Union to Japan and President Kaoru Kamata from Waseda University gave congratulatory remarks. This was followed by the presentation of awards and a speech by ETP29 valedictorian and representative, Mr. Manfred Beck. After comments from several internship companies were introduced, the ceremony concluded with a toast by Mr. Hironori Sakai, President and Representative Director of Toyocolor Co.,Ltd., one of the internship companies. ETP participants spent the evening celebrating the completion of ETP29.
